Reviews

I have alot of favourite authors but my all time favourite book is Ellie by Lesley Pearce  have read it about 5 times  .

Elille is a sweet natured girl who lives with her mother Polly and is loved by family and friends so when she is evacuated during the war it has a devastating effect on her and her family Bonnie on the other hand is selfish self centred and the fact she is sent to live with Lydia winters is a bonus for Bonnie as she is a ballet teacher and bonnie loves to dance .

Up until Bonnie and Ellie meet during the war the story revolves around the lives and loves of the 2 girls and how they both cope with the drama in their lives . i give this book 5/5 stars read it you will love it and please tell me what you think

i loved this book loved the fast pace of the story and how every time u thought u knew the outcome it changed . the story starts with Patrick welcoming his daughter home then it goes back to when Patrick was young , what he witnesses and how he deals with everything that is thrown his way . Back to the present day and it all about family and the love that they have for each other and how they have each others back in times of heartache .
       i give this book 5/5

Ruthless by Cath staincliffe

Product DetailsA blaze at an abandoned chapel in impoverished Manorclough turns out to be more than just arson when the body of a man who has been shot twice is discovered in the ashes. For the Manchester Metropolitan police team it’s the start of a gruelling and complex case that exposes the fractures and fault lines of a community living on the edge.
DC Rachel Bailey, recently married, is trying to come to terms with her new status and deal with the fallout from her chaotic family. She throws herself into work but her compulsion to find answers and see justice done leads her into the deepest jeopardy.
DC Janet Scott's world is shaken to its foundations when death comes far too close for comfort and she finds one of  her daughters on the wrong side of a police investigation.
DCI Gill Murray’s ex Dave, a Chief Superintendent, crashes back into her life, out of control and bringing chaos in his wake. Gill attempts to get Dave to face the truth of his situation, and to stay the hell away from her, but things are about to get a whole lot worse.
And then a second building goes up in flames.

my Review
I am a big fan of Cath Staincliffe books have read and devoured all of them within days of buying and this on was no exception.
The 3rd and I'm sorry to say the last in the Scott and bailey trilogy is brilliant , the story is easy to follow and a page turner , you get to the end of a chapter and just have to read the next .
Ruthless is from when Rachel has been married to Sean for a few weeks and the book goes into more detail about the Girls private lives and their family problems while trying to solve a triple murder and how Rachel and Janet are indirectly involved
I loved the book , for me it was easy to imagine the voices of the characters . Cath makes it easy as she wrote just how they would have said it and it made me laugh at some of the thing Gill came out with .
If you love Scott and Bailey the series you will love the books more
Thank you to Transworld books for sending me a copy and to Cath staincliffe for writing a wonderful series of books
